In questa tesi si analizzerà il differenziamento genetico in Chaenocephalus aceratus, una specie antartica caratterizzata da una fase di dispersione larvale e giovanile estremamente lunga (3 anni). L’oceanografia dell’area in cui è distribuita la specie è caratterizzata da una corrente unidirezionale in grado potenzialmente di determinare una relazione source-sink tra le diverse popolazioni. L’utilizzo di marcatori molecolari permetterà di verificare se la dispersione potenziale della specie corrisponda a quella effettiva riscontrata dai dati genetici.
