In the time when was based on the handicraft element, quality was an important focus for the factories since workers could control directly the whole process of production and could rely on their autonomous decision-making power. The passage from the handicraft production to the mass production took place with the industrial revolutions after which the main target of the Industry became the quantity instead of the quality of production.
