Real de Catorce is currently one of the most interesting and complete remains of Mexico’s mining past. Due to its importance ( at the end of 18th century it was the second silver producer centre of New Spain, and along the 19th century it was a technical innovations introducer center) Real de Catorce and its mining heritage must be preserved. The mining cultural landscape perspective that we considered to Real de Catorce layout gives an overview of the territory. Therefore, it must be preserved as a whole: its village buildings, mining vestiges, environment, and religious and cultural expression. In this work we have established a historical framework towards safeguarding the mining heritage and the enhancement project as a mining cultural landscape. Thus this study is the first step for a more expanded project. From our research we propose to generate a dynamic work in the territory of Real de Catorce since it offers all the conditions for establishing mining cultural routes. The remains in Teal de Catorce still present the necessary aesthetic, symbolic, technical and identity values for its preservation
