A Multi-Objective shape Optimization analysis was applied to a civil S-duct intake, for reducing total pressure losses and flow distortions.NSGA-II genetic algorithm was implemented in the optimization loop to manage the design vector and improved duct performances. New geometry configurations were investigated and the results were compared to those of a prior project. The analysis gave an enhancement of 19% for pressure recovery coefficient and a reduction of 13% for swirl distortion.
