Abstract

Riaguardo al tema dell'immersione dei mammiferi marini si possiedono poche informazioni per quanto riguarda le specie considerate deep-divers, come gli Zifidi (Ziphydae). Con questa tesi si intende indagare le modifiche anatomiche e fisiologiche a cui va incontro l'organismo di Ziphius Cavirostris, condsiderato il deep-diver per eccellenza, tramite l'analisi istologica delle reti mirabili e l'utilizzo di un modello simulativo in excel.
