Destro, Francesco (2018) Development of a phenomenological model of an adsorption process for capturing CO2 from air. [Magistrali biennali]
Full text disponibile come:
This thesis explores the possibility to capture CO2 directly from air through adsorption with hydrotalcite-based materials. Starting from previous results, a dynamic model for a tubular air contactor is developed and validated to study this process. New experimental data are collected to estimate the adsorption capacity of the sorbent. The optimal conditions of the process are then investigated, with the combined use of the model and of the experimental results.
