Abstract

The present work will focus on possible effects due to Non Standard Interactions (NSI) on the observables at stake in atmospherical and reactor neutrino experiments. We worked within an Effective Field Theory approach, where NSI arise from dimension six operators defined at a scale L much bigger than the Electroweak scale (mEW). Through Renormalization Group Equation methods the effects of these operators are studied below mEW. As an explicit proof of the correctness of our calculations, we checked the cancellation of the renormalization scale dependence in physical amplitudes. We provided an explicit calculation of the corrections to the oscillation probabilities and to relevant neutrino scattering cross sections, due to NSI. A complete analysis of the most recent and future experimental results is also provided.
