Within the holographic framework, a conformal field theory (CFT) can be equivalently described by a gravitational theory. CFT operators with large conformal dimensions (of order of the central charge) are dual to non-trivial geometries, while operators of dimension of order one are associated with linear perturbations around these geometries. One can use this framework to compute CFT correlators involving operators of large and small dimension, by solving the linearised equations of motion of the gravity theory. The thesis will focus on the D1D5 CFT dual to the supersymmetric five-dimensional black hole. The holographic method will be used to compute the correlators of CFT currents in certain black hole microstates.
